حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ كَانَتْ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُتَقَارِبَةً وَصَلَاةُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَسَطٌ وَبَسَطَ عُمَرُ فِي قِرَاءَةِ صَلَاةِ الْغَدَاةِ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Ansari told us: Humayd al-Tawil told us, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: The prayer of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, was moderate in length, and the prayer of Abu Bakr was medium, and Umar lengthened the recitation in the morning prayer.
