حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ وَسُرَيْجٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ شَهِدْنَا ابْنَةً لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَالِسٌ عَلَى الْقَبْرِ فَرَأَيْتُ عَيْنَيْهِ تَدْمَعَانِ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَلْ مِنْكُمْ مِنْ رَجُلٍ لَمْ يُقَارِفْ اللَّيْلَةَ قَالَ سُرَيْجٌ يَعْنِي ذَنْبًا فَقَالَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ فَانْزِلْ قَالَ فَنَزَلَ فِي قَبْرِهَا.
English Translation
Yunus and Surayj told us, they said: Fulayh told us, from Hilal ibn ‘Ali ibn Usamah, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: "We were present at the burial of a daughter of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was sitting by the grave, and I saw his eyes shedding tears. Then he said, ‘Is there among you a man who did not have intimate relations with his wife tonight?’" Surayj said: meaning a sin. Abu Talha said, "I have not, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Then go down." He said: So he went down into her grave.
