English Translation
Anas ibn Iyad told us: Yusuf ibn Abi Dharra al-Ansari told me, from Ja'far ibn Amr ibn Umayya al-Damri, from Anas ibn Malik, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: There is no one granted long life who reaches forty years in Islam but that Allah turns away from him three kinds of affliction - madness, leprosy, and vitiligo. And when he reaches fifty, Allah eases his reckoning for him. And when he reaches sixty, Allah grants him a turning back to Him in what He loves. And when he reaches seventy years, Allah loves him and the people of heaven love him. And when he reaches eighty, Allah accepts his good deeds and overlooks his bad deeds. And when he reaches ninety, Allah forgives him what has preceded of his sin and what will follow, and he is named the captive of Allah on His earth, and he intercedes for the people of his household.
