حَدَّثَنَا مَحْبُوبُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ خَالِدٍ يَعْنِي الْحَذَّاءَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ هَلْ قَنَتَ عُمَرُ قَالَ نَعَمْ وَمَنْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنْ عُمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَ الرُّكُوعِ.
English Translation
Mahbub ibn al-Hasan told us, from Khalid — that is, al-Hadhdha' — from Muhammad, who said: I asked Anas ibn Malik whether Umar performed qunut. He said: Yes — and who is better than Umar? The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, did so after the ruku'.
