English Translation
'Abd al-Wahid Abu 'Ubaydah al-Haddad told us: al-Mu'alla ibn Jabir, that is al-Laqiti, told us, he said: Musa ibn Anas ibn Malik told me, from his father, who said, "When the caller would give the call to the Maghrib prayer in a mosque in Medina, whoever wished would get up and pray until the prayer was established, and whoever wished would perform two rak'ahs and then sit down, and that was done in full view of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him."
