حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ قَالَ سُئِلَ أَنَسٌ عَنْ صَلَاةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِاللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ مَا كُنَّا نَشَاءُ أَنْ نَرَاهُ مُصَلِّيًا إِلَّا رَأَيْنَاهُ وَلَا نَائِمًا إِلَّا رَأَيْنَاهُ.
English Translation
Yahya ibn Sa'id told us, from Humayd, who said: Anas was asked about the night prayer of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said, "Whenever we wished to see him praying, we saw him, and whenever we wished to see him sleeping, we saw him."
