Hajjaj told us: I heard Shu'bah narrate, who said: I said to Qatadah, "Did you hear Anas narrate from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he used to say, 'Spitting in the mosque is a sin'?" He said, "Yes, and its expiation is burying it."
