Husayn and Khalaf ibn al-Walid told us, they said, al-Mubarak told us, he said, Thabit al-Bunani told me, Anas ibn Malik informed me, that a man said to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, "I love so-and-so for the sake of Allah." He said, "Have you informed him?" He said, "No." He said, "Then inform him." So he said to him, "Do you know that I love you for the sake of Allah?" He said: So he said to him, "Then may He for whose sake you loved me love you." Khalaf said in his account: "then he met him."
