English Translation
Abu Sa'id, client of Banu Hashim, narrated to us: Abu Ya'qub—that is, Ishaq—narrated to us, who said: I heard Thabit al-Bunani, and a man asked him: "Did you ask Anas ibn Malik?" Thabit said: "I asked Anas: 'Did you hear the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him?'" He said: "Allah, Mighty and Sublime, took His messenger, and He did not disgrace him with grayness; what was in his head and beard on the day he died was thirty white hairs." And it was said to him: "Is that a disgrace?" He said: "As for you, you consider it a disgrace, but as for us, we used to consider it an adornment."
