English Translation
Abdullah ibn Umar reported that when the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) went on a military expedition or traveled and night fell upon him, he would say: "O earth, my Lord and your Lord is Allah. I seek refuge in Allah from your evil, the evil of what was created in you, the evil of what is in you, and the evil of what crawls upon you. I seek refuge in Allah from the evil of the inhabitants of this land, from the evil of a parent and what he begat, and from the evil of a lion, a serpent, a snake, and a scorpion."
