حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ فِي حَدِيثِهِ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَهْرَمُ ابْنُ آدَمَ وَيَبْقَى مِنْهُ اثْنَتَانِ الْحِرْصُ وَالْأَمَلُ.
English Translation
Anas reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The son of Adam grows old but two things remain with him: greed and hope."
