Isma'il ibn 'Ulayyah narrated to us: Ibn 'Awn informed us, from Humayd ibn Zadhwayh, who said: Anas ibn Malik said: We were forbidden — or he said, we were commanded — not to say more to the People of the Book than "and upon you" [in returning their greeting].
