English Translation
Abd al-Razzaq told us, Ma'mar informed us, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from a man, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: A man put his hand on the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "By Allah, I cannot bear to put my hand on you because of the severity of your fever!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "We, the company of prophets, have affliction multiplied for us just as reward is multiplied for us. If a prophet among the prophets was afflicted with lice until they killed him, and if a prophet among the prophets was afflicted with poverty until he took a cloak and it wore out on him - they used to rejoice in affliction just as you rejoice in ease."
