English Translation
Al-Hakam ibn Nafi' told us, Sa'id ibn Abd al-Aziz told us, from Atiyya ibn Qays, from Qaza'a ibn Yahya, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when he said, 'Allah hears whoever praises Him,' would say: 'O Allah, our Lord, to You is due all praise, filling the heavens and filling the earth and filling whatever You wish besides, O Possessor of praise and glory. The most fitting thing a servant can say - and we are all Your servants - none can withhold what You have given, and the fortune of the fortunate does not avail against You.'"
