حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ النَّاجِيُّ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْمُتَوَكِّلِ النَّاجِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِأَصْحَابِهِ الظُّهْرَ قَالَ فَدَخَلَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا حَبَسَكَ يَا فُلَانُ عَنْ الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ شَيْئًا اعْتَلَّ بِهِ قَالَ فَقَامَ يُصَلِّي فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَلَا رَجُلٌ يَتَصَدَّقُ عَلَى هَذَا فَيُصَلِّيَ مَعَهُ قَالَ فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ الْقَوْمِ فَصَلَّى مَعَهُ.
English Translation
Ali ibn Asim told us, Sulayman al-Naji informed us, Abu al-Mutawakkil al-Naji informed us, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, led his companions in the dhuhr prayer." He said: "Then a man among his companions entered, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to him: 'What kept you back, so-and-so, from the prayer?'" He said: "So he mentioned something he used as an excuse." He said: "So he got up to pray, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'Will not a man give charity to this one by praying with him?'" He said: "So a man among the people got up and prayed with him."
