حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ذَكْوَانَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ قُلْنَ النِّسَاءُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ غَلَبَ عَلَيْكَ الرِّجَالُ فَعِدْنَا مَوْعِدًا فَوَعَدَهُنَّ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ مِنْكُنَّ قَدَّمَتْ ثَلَاثًا مِنْ وَلَدِهَا كَانُوا لَهَا حِجَابًا مِنْ النَّارِ قَالَتْ امْرَأَةٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَنَا قَدَّمْتُ اثْنَيْنِ قَالَ وَاثْنَيْنِ.
English Translation
Bahz narrated to us: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Asbahani, he said: I heard Dhakwan narrating from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, he said: The women said: "O Messenger of Allah, the men have taken you from us." So they set a day for themselves, and he set a day for them. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whichever of you women sends three of her children ahead in death, they will be a veil for her from the Fire." A woman said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have sent two ahead." He said: "And two."
