حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ حَبَّةَ الْعُرَنِيِّ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ أَنَا أَوَّلُ، رَجُلٍ صَلَّى مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ (ح) وحجاج، عَنْ شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ حَبَّةَ الْعُرَنِيِّ قَالَ، سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ أَنَا أَوَّلُ مَن صَلَّى مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
English Translation
It was narrated that Habbah al-`Urani said: I heard Hadrat 'Ali (may Allah be well pleased with him) say: I was the first man to pray with the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). It was narrated that Habbah al-Urani said: I heard Hadrat Ali (may Allah be well pleased with him) say: I was the first who prayed with the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).
