English Translation
Affan narrated to us, Mahdi b. Maymun narrated to us, Muhammad b. Sirin narrated to us, from Ma'bad b. Sirin, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "People will emerge from the East who recite the Qur'an, but it will not pass beyond their collarbones. They will pass out of religion just as an arrow passes through its target, and they will not return to it until the arrow returns to its notch." It was asked, "What is their mark?" He said, "Their mark is shaving their heads and going about bareheaded."
