English Translation
Hajjaj told us: Layth told us: Sa'id ibn Abi Sa'id told me, from his father, that he heard Abu Sa'id al-Khudri say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "When the bier is set down and the men carry it upon their shoulders, if it was righteous, it says, 'Take me forward'; and if it was not righteous, it says, 'Woe to it! Where are you taking it?' Everything hears its voice except man, and if man heard it, he would fall unconscious." Al-Khuza'i - meaning Abu Salamah - told us [a variant], except that he said, "he would fall unconscious."
