English Translation
Abdul-Malik told us: Hisham and Yazid ibn Harun told us - Hisham informed us - from Yahya, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: We used to be given the common mixed dates as provision - Yazid said, "dates from the common mixed dates" - in the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and we would sell two sa's of it for one sa' [of finer dates]. That reached the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said, "No two sa's of dates for one sa', no two sa's of wheat for one sa', and no two dirhams for one dirham."
