حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ عَنِ ابْنِ الْهَادِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ خَبَّابٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذُكِرَ عِنْدَهُ عَمُّهُ أَبُو طَالِبٍ فَقَالَ لَعَلَّهُ تَنْفَعُهُ شَفَاعَتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَيُجْعَلَ فِي ضَحْضَاحٍ مِنْ النَّارِ يَبْلُغُ كَعْبَيْهِ يَغْلِي مِنْهُ دِمَاغُهُ.
English Translation
Qutaybah ibn Sa'id told us: Layth told us, from Ibn al-Had, from Abdullah ibn Khabbab, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, had his uncle Abu Talib mentioned before him, and he said, "Perhaps my intercession will benefit him on the Day of Resurrection, so that he will be placed in a shallow part of the Fire reaching up to his ankles, from which his brain boils."
