حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ الْقَاصُّ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَا رَجُلٌ فِيمَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ خَرَجَ فِي بُرْدَيْنِ أَخْضَرَيْنِ يَخْتَالُ فِيهِمَا أَمَرَ اللَّهُ الْأَرْضَ فَأَخَذَتْهُ وَإِنَّهُ لَيَتَجَلْجَلُ فِيهَا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ.
English Translation
al-Nadr ibn Isma'il Abu al-Mughirah al-Qass told us, al-A'mash told us, from 'Atiyyah, from Abu Sa'id, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "While a man among those before you went out in two green cloaks, walking arrogantly in them, Allah commanded the earth, and it seized him, and he keeps sinking into it until the Day of Resurrection."
