حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي فِطْرٌ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ رَجَاءٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ كُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ فِيكُمْ مَنْ يُقَاتِلُ عَلَى تَأْوِيلِ الْقُرْآنِ كَمَا قَاتَلَ عَلَى تَنْزِيلِهِ.
English Translation
Abu Usamah told us: Fitr narrated to me, from Isma'il ibn Raja', from his father, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: We were with the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: "Among you is one who will fight over the interpretation of the Qur'an just as others fought over its revelation."
