English Translation
Shu'ayb ibn Harb told us, Hisham ibn Sa'd told us, Yazid ibn Aslam told us, from Ata' ibn Yasar, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "Whoever seeks to be patient, Allah will grant him patience; whoever seeks to be self-sufficient, Allah will make him self-sufficient; whoever seeks to abstain, Allah will help him abstain; and I do not find for you any provision more abundant than patience."
