English Translation
Mu'ammal ibn Isma'il told us, he said: Hammad - meaning Ibn Salamah - told us, al-Jurayri told us, from Abu Nadrah, from Abu Sa'id: that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When one of you comes to a walled garden and wishes to eat, let him call out, 'O owner of the garden!' three times; if he is answered - otherwise let him eat. And when one of you passes by camels and wishes to drink some of their milk, let him call out, 'O owner of the camels!' or 'O herder of the camels!' three times; if he is answered - otherwise let him drink. Hospitality is for three days; whatever is beyond that is charity."
