حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدٌ الْمَقْبُرِيُّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ أَخِي أَبِي مَرْثَدٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا تَصَدَّقَ أَحَدٌ بِصَدَقَةٍ مِنْ طَيِّبٍ وَلَا يَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ إِلَّا الطَّيِّبَ إِلَّا أَخَذَهَا الرَّحْمَنُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِيَمِينِهِ وَإِنْ كَانَتْ تَمْرَةً فَتَرْبُو لَهُ فِي كَفِّ الرَّحْمَنِ حَتَّى تَكُونَ أَعْظَمَ مِنْ الْجَبَلِ كَمَا يُرَبِّي أَحَدُكُمْ فَلُوَّهُ أَوْ فَصِيلَهُ.
English Translation
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Allah the Almighty said: The son of Adam denied Me, and he had no right to. The son of Adam insulted Me, and he had no right to. As for his denying Me, it is his saying: He will not recreate me as He created me the first time — and the initial creation is no easier for Me than recreating him. As for his insulting Me, it is his saying: Allah has taken a son — and I am the One, the Eternal Refuge. I neither beget nor was I begotten, and there is none comparable to Me.'
