حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي بَلْجٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ مَيْمُونٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَجِدَ طَعْمَ الْإِيمَانِ فَلْيُحِبَّ الْعَبْدَ لَا يُحِبُّهُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.
English Translation
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'The Fire complained to its Lord and said: O Lord, some parts of me are consuming other parts. So He permitted it two breaths: a breath in winter and a breath in summer. That is why you experience the most intense heat and the most severe cold.'
