حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا قُلْتَ لِصَاحِبِكَ وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ أَنْصِتْ فَقَدْ لَغَوْتَ.
English Translation
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Whoever performs ablution and does it well, then goes to the mosque and finds the people have already prayed, Allah gives him the same reward as those who prayed and attended, without diminishing their reward in the least.'
