حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تَزَالُ نَفْسُ ابْنِ آدَمَ مُعَلَّقَةً بِدَيْنِهِ حَتَّى يُقْضَى عَنْهُ.
English Translation
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'No child is born except upon the fitrah (natural disposition of monotheism). Then his parents make him a Jew, a Christian, or a Magian — just as an animal gives birth to a whole animal. Do you find any of them born mutilated?'
