948/1234(صحيح الإسناد)عن ميمون بن مهران قال: سألت نافعاً: هل كان ابن عمر يدعو للمأدبة؟ قال: لكنه انكسر له بعير مرة فنحرناه، ثم قال: احشر علي المدينة(1)! قال نافع: فقلت: يا أبا عبد الرحمن! علي أي شيء؟ ليس عندنا خبز، فقال:"اللهم لك الحمد، هذا عُراقٌ(2)، وهذا مرق، أوقال: مرق وبضع(3)، فمن شاء أكل، ومن شاء ودع".
English Translation
Maymun ibn Mihran said: I asked Nafi': 'Did Ibn Umar use to invite people for a feast?' He said: 'No, but once a camel of his broke its leg, so we slaughtered it. Then he said: "Gather the people of Madinah for me!" Nafi' said: I said: O Abu Abd al-Rahman! For what? We have no bread! He said: "O Allah, praise be to You. Here is broth and here is soup — or he said: soup and cuts of meat. Whoever wants may eat, and whoever wants may leave."'
