739/(958/2)- قال عبد الله بن عمر: انطلق بعد ذلك النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم هو وأبي بن كعب الأنصاري يوماً إلى النخل التي فيها ابن صياد، حتى إذا دخل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم طفق النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يتقي بجذوع النخل، وهو يسمع من ابن صياد شيئاً قبل أن يراه، وابن صياد مضطجع على فراشه في قطيفة له فيها زمزمة(4)فرأت أم ابن صياد النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وهو يتقي بجذوع النخل، فقالت لابن صياد: أين صاف!(وهو اسمه)هذا محمد، فتناهى ابن صياد. قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم:" لو تركته لبين"(5).
English Translation
Abdullah ibn Umar said: After that, the Prophet (peace be upon him) went with Ubayy ibn Ka'b al-Ansari one day to the palm grove where Ibn Sayyad was. When the Prophet entered, he began hiding behind the palm trunks, wanting to hear something from Ibn Sayyad before he noticed him. Ibn Sayyad was lying on his bed in a blanket, murmuring. Then Ibn Sayyad's mother saw the Prophet (peace be upon him) hiding behind the palm trunks, and she said to Ibn Sayyad: 'O Saf!' — which was his name — 'Here is Muhammad!' Ibn Sayyad stopped. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'If she had left him alone, it would have become clear.'
