630/815-(صحيح)عن جابر قال: ولد لرجل منا غلامٌ فسماه: القاسم، فقلنا: نكنيك أبا القاسم ولا كرامة، فأخبر النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال:"سم ابنك عبد الرحمن".
English Translation
Jabir reported: A boy was born to one of us, and he named him al-Qasim. We said: We will not give you the kunyah Abu al-Qasim, and we will not honor you with it. He told the Prophet (peace be upon him), who said: 'Name your son Abdur-Rahman.'
