457/586 عن ابن عباس قال: قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم للأشج؛ أشج عبد القيس:"إن فيك لخصلتين يحبهما الله: الحلم، والأناة".
English Translation
Abu Hurayrah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, 'By Allah, he does not believe! By Allah, he does not believe! By Allah, he does not believe!' It was said, 'Who, O Messenger of Allah?' He said, 'The one whose neighbor is not safe from his harm.'
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبیصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اشج (یعنی اشج عبدالقیس) سے فرمایا:”بیشک تم میں دو عادتیں ایسی ہیں جنہیں اللہ پسند فرماتا ہے، بردباری اور ٹھہر ٹھہر کر کام کرنا۔“[صحيح الادب المفرد/حدیث: 457]
