حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ، وَحُمَيْدٌ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ مَا صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ رَجُلٍ أَوْجَزَ صَلاَةً مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي تَمَامٍ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا قَالَ " سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ " . قَامَ حَتَّى نَقُولَ قَدْ أَوْهَمَ ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرُ وَيَسْجُدُ وَكَانَ يَقْعُدُ بَيْنَ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ حَتَّى نَقُولَ قَدْ أَوْهَمَ .
English Translation
Hadrat Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates: 'I never prayed behind anyone who offered a more complete yet concise prayer than the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). When the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated "Sami'Allahu liman hamidah," he would stand for so long that we would say he had forgotten. Then he would say the takbir and prostrate. And he would sit between the two prostrations for so long that we would say he had forgotten.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں: میں نے کسی شخص کے پیچھے نماز نہیں پڑھی جو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے زیادہ مکمل مختصر نماز پڑھنے والا ہو۔ اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم جب «سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ» فرماتے تو (اتنی دیر) کھڑے رہتے کہ ہم کہتے: آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم بھول گئے — پھر تکبیر کہتے اور سجدہ فرماتے۔ اور دونوں سجدوں کے درمیان (اتنی دیر) بیٹھتے کہ ہم کہتے: آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم بھول گئے۔
