Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ كَانُوا يَفْتَتِحُونَ الْقِرَاءَةَ بِـ { الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ } .
English Translation
Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), Hadrat Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, Hadrat Umar al-Faruq, and Hadrat Uthman Ghani (may Allah be well pleased with them all) used to commence the recitation with 'Al-hamdu lillahi Rabbil-'alamin' (All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds).
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس (رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اور حضرت ابوبکر صدیق اور حضرت عمر فاروق اور حضرت عثمان غنی (رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہم) قراءت کا آغاز «اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِين» سے فرماتے تھے۔
