Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قَتَادَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ فِي سَفَرٍ لَهُ فَعَطِشُوا فَانْطَلَقَ سَرَعَانُ النَّاسِ فَلَزِمْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةَ فَقَالَ " حَفِظَكَ اللَّهُ بِمَا حَفِظْتَ بِهِ نَبِيَّهُ " .
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Qatadah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was on a journey. The people became thirsty and those who were swift went ahead. I stayed with the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) that night. He stated: May Allah protect you for the way you protected His the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابو قتادہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ایک سفر میں تھے۔ لوگوں کو پیاس لگی تو تیز چلنے والے آگے نکل گئے۔ میں اس رات رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ رہا۔ تو آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: اللہ تمہاری حفاظت فرمائے اس وجہ سے جس سے تم نے اس کے نبی کی حفاظت کی۔
