حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، - الْمَعْنَى - عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، - قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ - قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ، قَالَ شَكَتْ فَاطِمَةُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَا تَلْقَى فِي يَدِهَا مِنَ الرَّحَى فَأُتِيَ بِسَبْىٍ فَأَتَتْهُ تَسْأَلُهُ فَلَمْ تَرَهُ فَأَخْبَرَتْ بِذَلِكَ عَائِشَةَ فَلَمَّا جَاءَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَخْبَرَتْهُ فَأَتَانَا وَقَدْ أَخَذْنَا مَضَاجِعَنَا فَذَهَبْنَا لِنَقُومَ فَقَالَ " عَلَى مَكَانِكُمَا " . فَجَاءَ فَقَعَدَ بَيْنَنَا حَتَّى وَجَدْتُ بَرْدَ قَدَمَيْهِ عَلَى صَدْرِي فَقَالَ " أَلاَ أَدُلُّكُمَا عَلَى خَيْرٍ مِمَّا سَأَلْتُمَا إِذَا أَخَذْتُمَا مَضَاجِعَكُمَا فَسَبِّحَا ثَلاَثًا وَثَلاَثِينَ وَاحْمَدَا ثَلاَثًا وَثَلاَثِينَ وَكَبِّرَا أَرْبَعًا وَثَلاَثِينَ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكُمَا مِنْ خَادِمٍ " .
English Translation
Hadrat Ali al-Murtada (may Allah ennoble his countenance) narrates: Hadrat Fatimah al-Zahra (may Allah be well pleased with her) complained to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) about the pain in her hands from grinding with the mill. When captives were brought, she went to ask him for a servant but did not find him, so she informed Hadrat A'ishah (may Allah be well pleased with her). When the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) came, she told him. He came to us when we had already gone to our beds, and we started to get up, but he said: 'Stay where you are.' He came and sat between us until I felt the coolness of his blessed feet on my chest. Then he stated: 'Shall I not guide you to something better than what you have asked for? When you go to your bed, say Allahu Akbar thirty-four times, Subhan Allah thirty-three times, and Al-hamdu lillah thirty-three times. That is better for you than a servant.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت علی المرتضیٰ کرّم اللہ تعالیٰ وجہہ الکریم فرماتے ہیں: حضرت فاطمۃ الزہرا رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے چکی پیسنے سے اپنے ہاتھوں کی تکلیف کی شکایت کی۔ جب قیدی آئے تو وہ آپ سے ایک خادم مانگنے آئیں لیکن آپ کو نہ پایا، تو حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا کو بتایا۔ جب نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم تشریف لائے تو انہوں نے آپ کو بتایا۔ پس آپ ہمارے پاس تشریف لائے اور ہم اپنے بستروں پر لیٹ چکے تھے، ہم اٹھنے لگے تو آپ نے فرمایا: اپنی جگہ رہو۔ پھر آپ آ کر ہمارے درمیان بیٹھ گئے یہاں تک کہ مجھے آپ کے قدم مبارک کی ٹھنڈک اپنے سینے پر محسوس ہوئی، پھر فرمایا: کیا میں تمہیں اس سے بہتر چیز نہ بتاؤں جو تم نے مانگی ہے؟ جب تم اپنے بستر پر لیٹو تو چونتیس بار اللہ اکبر کہو، تینتیس بار سبحان اللہ کہو اور تینتیس بار الحمد للہ کہو، یہ تمہارے لیے خادم سے بہتر ہے۔
