Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ الْغَزَّالُ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، وَمَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِهَذَا قَالَ سُفْيَانُ قَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا " إِذَا أَتَيْتَ فِرَاشَكَ طَاهِرًا " . وَقَالَ الآخَرُ " تَوَضَّأْ وُضُوءَكَ لِلصَّلاَةِ " . وَسَاقَ مَعْنَى مُعْتَمِرٍ .
English Translation
A similar narration is reported from Hadrat Bara ibn Azib (may Allah be well pleased with them both) from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). Sufyan said: One of them said: 'When you come to your bed in a state of purity,' and the other said: 'Perform ablution as you would for prayer.' And he narrated it with the meaning of Mu'tamir.
Urdu Translation
حضرت براء بن عازب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے اسی حدیث کی مانند روایت ہے۔ سفیان نے کہا: ان میں سے ایک نے کہا: جب تو اپنے بستر پر پاکیزگی کی حالت میں آئے۔ اور دوسرے نے کہا: نماز کا وضو کر۔ اور معتمر کے مفہوم کے مطابق حدیث بیان کی۔
