Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتِ اسْتَأْذَنَ رَجُلٌ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " بِئْسَ ابْنُ الْعَشِيرَةِ " . أَوْ " بِئْسَ رَجُلُ الْعَشِيرَةِ " . ثُمَّ قَالَ " ائْذَنُوا لَهُ " . فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ أَلاَنَ لَهُ الْقَوْلَ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَلَنْتَ لَهُ الْقَوْلَ وَقَدْ قُلْتَ لَهُ مَا قُلْتَ . قَالَ " إِنَّ شَرَّ النَّاسِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مَنْزِلَةً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَنْ وَدَعَهُ - أَوْ تَرَكَهُ - النَّاسُ لاِتِّقَاءِ فُحْشِهِ " .
English Translation
Ummul Mu'minin Hadrat Aisha Siddiqah (may Allah be well pleased with her) narrates: A man sought permission to see the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: He is a bad member of the tribe — or: He is a bad son of the tribe. Then he granted him permission. When the man entered, the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) spoke to him gently. Hadrat Aisha (may Allah be well pleased with her) said: I submitted: O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), you said what you said about him, and then you spoke to him gently? He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: O Hadrat Aisha, the worst of people is the one whom people abandon out of fear of his foul speech.
Urdu Translation
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا فرماتی ہیں کہ ایک شخص نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے (اندر آنے کی) اجازت طلب کی، آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: قبیلے کا برا آدمی ہے — یا فرمایا: قبیلے کا برا فرد ہے — پھر اسے اجازت دے دی۔ جب وہ آیا تو آپ نے اس سے نرمی سے بات فرمائی۔ حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا فرماتی ہیں: میں نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! آپ نے اس کے بارے میں جو فرمایا وہ فرمایا، پھر اس سے نرمی سے بات فرمائی؟ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: اے حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ! بدترین لوگوں میں وہ شخص ہے جسے لوگ اس کی بدزبانی (کے ڈر) سے چھوڑ دیں۔
