Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَحْوَهُ قَالَ : " سِيمَاهُمُ التَّحْلِيقُ وَالتَّسْبِيدُ، فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُمْ فَأَنِيمُوهُمْ " . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ : التَّسْبِيدُ اسْتِئْصَالُ الشَّعْرِ .
English Translation
Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates from the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), a similar narration, in which he stated: Their mark is shaving of the head and complete removal of the hair (tasbid). When you see them, put an end to them. Abu Dawud (upon him be mercy) said: Tasbid means complete removal of the hair from its roots.
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اسی طرح کی حدیث بیان فرمائی اور ارشاد فرمایا: ان کی نشانی سر منڈوانا اور بالوں کو بالکل صاف کر دینا (تسبید) ہے — جب تم انہیں دیکھو تو انہیں ختم کر دو۔ حضرت ابوداؤد (علیہ الرحمہ) نے فرمایا: التسبید سے مراد بالوں کو بالکل جڑ سے کاٹ دینا ہے۔
