حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، أَنَّ يَزِيدَ بْنَ زُرَيْعٍ، وَيَحْيَى بْنَ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَاهُمْ قَالاَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قَسَامَةُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى الأَشْعَرِيُّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَلَقَ آدَمَ مِنْ قَبْضَةٍ قَبَضَهَا مِنْ جَمِيعِ الأَرْضِ فَجَاءَ بَنُو آدَمَ عَلَى قَدْرِ الأَرْضِ جَاءَ مِنْهُمُ الأَحْمَرُ وَالأَبْيَضُ وَالأَسْوَدُ وَبَيْنَ ذَلِكَ وَالسَّهْلُ وَالْحَزْنُ وَالْخَبِيثُ وَالطَّيِّبُ " . زَادَ فِي حَدِيثِ يَحْيَى " وَبَيْنَ ذَلِكَ " . وَالإِخْبَارُ فِي حَدِيثِ يَزِيدَ .
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: Indeed, Allah Most High created Adam (upon him be peace) from a handful that He seized from all of the earth. So the children of Adam came according to the nature of the earth — among them are the red, the white, the black, and those in between; the gentle and the harsh; the wicked and the good. In Yahya's narration there is the addition: And those in between — and the fuller wording is in Yazid's narration.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوموسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: بے شک اللہ تعالیٰ نے آدم (علیہ السلام) کو ایک مٹھی سے پیدا فرمایا جو پوری زمین سے اٹھائی گئی تھی۔ لہٰذا بنی آدم زمین کے مطابق آئے — ان میں سرخ بھی ہیں، سفید بھی، سیاہ بھی، اور ان کے درمیان کے رنگ بھی؛ نرم خو بھی ہیں اور سخت بھی، بُرے بھی ہیں اور اچھے بھی۔ یحییٰ کی حدیث میں یہ اضافہ ہے: اور ان کے درمیان کے لوگ بھی — اور خبر دینا یزید کی حدیث میں ہے۔
