Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ تَسُبُّوا أَصْحَابِي فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَوْ أَنْفَقَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِثْلَ أُحُدٍ ذَهَبًا مَا بَلَغَ مُدَّ أَحَدِهِمْ وَلاَ نَصِيفَهُ " .
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: Do not revile my Companions! By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, were any of you to spend gold the size of Mount Uhud, it would not equal a single mudd of any one of them, nor even half of it.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: میرے صحابہ کو گالی مت دو! اس ذات کی قسم جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے، اگر تم میں سے کوئی اُحد پہاڑ جتنا سونا خرچ کرے تو ان کے ایک مُد یا آدھے مُد کے برابر بھی نہ پہنچے۔
