حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ فَارِسٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِهَذِهِ الْقِصَّةِ قَالَ فَأَبَى أَنْ يُخْبِرَهُ .
English Translation
This narration has also been transmitted from Hadrat Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) through a different chain, narrating the same incident from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). This version states: He refused to inform him (of his error).
Urdu Translation
اسی سند سے حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے یہی واقعہ حضور نبیِ اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے مرفوعاً مروی ہے، لیکن اس میں ہے: آپ نے انہیں (ان کی غلطی) بتانے سے انکار فرما دیا۔
