حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، وَمُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ جَوْنِ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْمُحَبَّقِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ أَتَى عَلَى بَيْتٍ فَإِذَا قِرْبَةٌ مُعَلَّقَةٌ فَسَأَلَ الْمَاءَ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهَا مَيْتَةٌ . فَقَالَ " دِبَاغُهَا طُهُورُهَا " .
English Translation
Hadrat Salamah ibn al-Muhabbaq (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that during the expedition of Tabuk, the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) came to a household and found a water-skin hanging there. He asked for water. They submitted: O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), it is made from the hide of an animal that died a natural death. He stated: Its tanning is its purification.
Urdu Translation
حضرت سلمہ بن محبّق رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم غزوۂ تبوک میں ایک گھر میں تشریف لائے تو وہاں ایک مشک لٹکی ہوئی تھی۔ آپ نے پانی طلب فرمایا تو لوگوں نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! وہ مُردار جانور کی کھال کی ہے۔ آپ نے ارشاد فرمایا: دباغت اس کی طہارت ہے۔
