حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " ثَلاَثَةٌ لاَ يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ رَجُلٌ مَنَعَ ابْنَ السَّبِيلِ فَضْلَ مَاءٍ عِنْدَهُ وَرَجُلٌ حَلَفَ عَلَى سِلْعَةٍ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ - يَعْنِي كَاذِبًا - وَرَجُلٌ بَايَعَ إِمَامًا فَإِنْ أَعْطَاهُ وَفَى لَهُ وَإِنْ لَمْ يُعْطِهِ لَمْ يَفِ لَهُ " .
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: There are three persons to whom Allah the Almighty will not speak on the Day of Resurrection: a man who withholds surplus water from a wayfarer; a man who swears a false oath after the Asr prayer to sell his goods; and a man who pledges allegiance to a leader — if the leader gives him, he fulfills his pledge, and if the leader does not give him, he breaks his pledge.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے مروی ہے، فرماتے ہیں: محبوبِ کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: تین شخص ایسے ہیں جن سے اللہ تعالیٰ قیامت کے دن کلام نہیں فرمائے گا: وہ شخص جس نے مسافر کو اپنے پاس موجود فاضل پانی سے روکا، وہ شخص جس نے عصر کے بعد جھوٹی قسم کھا کر سامان بیچا، اور وہ شخص جس نے کسی امام (حاکم) سے بیعت کی — اگر اُسے (دنیاوی فائدہ) دیا تو وفا کی اور اگر نہ دیا تو بے وفائی کی۔
