Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الْعَلاَءِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَرَّ بِرَجُلٍ يَبِيعُ طَعَامًا فَسَأَلَهُ " كَيْفَ تَبِيعُ " . فَأَخْبَرَهُ فَأُوحِيَ إِلَيْهِ أَنْ أَدْخِلْ يَدَكَ فِيهِ فَأَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ فِيهِ فَإِذَا هُوَ مَبْلُولٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ غَشَّ " .
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) passed by a man selling grain. He asked: How do you sell? The man informed him. Then revelation came to the Beloved the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) directing him to put his hand into the grain. He put his hand in and found it was wet inside. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: He who deceives is not of us.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ محبوبِ کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ایک شخص کے پاس سے گزرے جو غلّہ بیچ رہا تھا۔ آپ نے پوچھا: کیسے بیچتے ہو؟ اُس نے بتایا۔ پھر آپ پر وحی آئی کہ اس میں اپنا ہاتھ ڈالو۔ آپ نے ہاتھ ڈالا تو وہ (اندر سے) گیلا نکلا۔ محبوبِ کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: جو دھوکہ دے وہ ہم میں سے نہیں۔
