حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، رَفَعَهُ - قَالَ عُثْمَانُ وَحَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، - عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِثْلَهُ قَالَ اشْتَرَى مِنْ عِيرٍ تَبِيعًا وَلَيْسَ عِنْدَهُ ثَمَنُهُ فَأُرْبِحَ فِيهِ فَبَاعَهُ فَتَصَدَّقَ بِالرِّبْحِ عَلَى أَرَامِلِ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ وَقَالَ لاَ أَشْتَرِي بَعْدَهَا شَيْئًا إِلاَّ وَعِنْدِي ثَمَنُهُ .
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) similarly that he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) purchased an animal from a caravan without having the price at hand. Then he received a profit on it, so he sold it and gave the profit as charity to the widows of Banu Abd al-Muttalib, and stated: After this, I shall not purchase anything unless I have its price.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے اسی طرح مروی ہے کہ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ایک قافلے سے ایک جانور خریدا جبکہ آپ کے پاس اس کی قیمت نہ تھی، پھر اس پر نفع ملا تو اسے بیچ دیا اور نفع بنو عبدالمطلب کی بیواؤں پر صدقہ فرمایا اور ارشاد فرمایا: اس کے بعد کوئی چیز نہیں خریدوں گا جب تک میرے پاس اس کی قیمت نہ ہو۔
