حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ، قَالَ عُثْمَانُ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ : أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَنْهَى عَنِ النَّذْرِ ثُمَّ اتَّفَقَا وَيَقُولُ : " لاَ يَرُدُّ شَيْئًا، وَإِنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنَ الْبَخِيلِ " . قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم : " النَّذْرُ لاَ يَرُدُّ شَيْئًا " .
English Translation
Hadrat Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrates: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to forbid making vows and would say: 'A vow does not avert anything; it is merely a means by which something is extracted from the miser.' In the narration of Musaddad: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'A vow does not avert anything.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے، فرماتے ہیں: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نذر سے منع فرمایا کرتے تھے اور ارشاد فرماتے تھے: نذر کسی چیز کو ٹال نہیں سکتی، بلکہ اس سے بخیل سے (مال) نکلوایا جاتا ہے۔ مسدد کی روایت میں ہے: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: نذر کسی چیز کو نہیں ٹالتی۔
