حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْعِجْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ آدَمَ - حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، وَبَعْضِ، وَلَدِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَسْلَمَةَ قَالُوا بَقِيَتْ بَقِيَّةٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ خَيْبَرَ تَحَصَّنُوا فَسَأَلُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ يَحْقِنَ دِمَاءَهُمْ وَيُسَيِّرَهُمْ فَفَعَلَ فَسَمِعَ بِذَلِكَ أَهْلُ فَدَكَ فَنَزَلُوا عَلَى مِثْلِ ذَلِكَ فَكَانَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَاصَّةً لأَنَّهُ لَمْ يُوجِفْ عَلَيْهَا بِخَيْلٍ وَلاَ رِكَابٍ .
English Translation
Al-Zuhri, 'Abdullah bin Abi Bakr, and some descendants of Muhammad bin Maslamah narrate: A group of the people of Khaybar remained and fortified themselves. They asked the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) to spare their lives and expel them. He did so. When the people of Fadak heard of this, they came down on the same terms. Fadak belonged exclusively to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) because he had not spurred upon it any horses or camels (i.e., it was taken without fighting).
Urdu Translation
حضرت زہری، عبداللہ بن ابی بکر اور محمد بن مسلمہ کی اولاد سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے فرمایا: خیبر کے بعض لوگ باقی رہ گئے جنہوں نے قلعہ بند ہو کر پناہ لی۔ انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے درخواست کی کہ ان کی جانیں بخش دی جائیں اور انہیں جلاوطن کر دیا جائے۔ آپ نے ایسا ہی فرمایا۔ فدک والوں نے یہ سن کر اسی شرط پر (خود) اُتر آئے۔ فدک خالصتاً رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے لیے تھا کیونکہ آپ نے اس پر نہ گھوڑے دوڑائے نہ اونٹ۔
