حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، رضى الله عنها أَخْبَرَتْهُ عَنْ بَيْعَةِ، رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم النِّسَاءَ قَالَتْ مَا مَسَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَدَ امْرَأَةٍ قَطُّ إِلاَّ أَنْ يَأْخُذَ عَلَيْهَا فَإِذَا أَخَذَ عَلَيْهَا فَأَعْطَتْهُ قَالَ " اذْهَبِي فَقَدْ بَايَعْتُكِ " .
English Translation
Hadrat 'Urwah narrates that Ummul Mu'minin Hadrat ' Aishah (may Allah be well pleased with her) informed him about how the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) would take the oath of allegiance from women. She said: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) never touched the hand of any non-mahram woman. Rather, he would take a verbal pledge from them, and when a woman gave the pledge, he would say: "Go, I have accepted your oath of allegiance."
Urdu Translation
حضرت عروہ فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے انہیں بتایا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم عورتوں سے کس طرح بیعت لیتے تھے۔ فرمایا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے کبھی کسی غیر محرم عورت کا ہاتھ نہیں چھوا، مگر آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم عورتوں سے زبانی عہد لیتے تھے، جب عورت عہد دے دیتی تو ارشاد فرماتے: جاؤ، میں نے تم سے بیعت لے لی۔
